Located in Athabasca Alberta, just 1.5 hours north of the City of Edmonton, we are a family run kennel dedicated to the improvement of the Rottweiler breed.  As members of the Canadian Kennel Club, as well as the Rottweiler Club of Canada we believe in following the code of ethics in all aspects as to the breeding, and living conditions of these loyal family members.   We have named this site for our foundation bitch "Keran Von Der Wacther Engel" which is German for "From our Guardian Angel", although she is known to us simply as "Roxy".

Our dogs are family members first and foremost.  Being raised as valued members of the family guarantees the proper socialization of our rottweilers, which is a must when raising dogs which are often stereotyped as vicious and unsociable rather than the self assured, fearless, and endlessly loyal animals they were bred to be.

We are blessed to reside on a very scenic 130 acres of forest and field complete with a small pond and stream.  Needless to say our dogs enjoy lots of  outdoor exposure to all kinds of wildlife, as well as being experienced with horses, and cats.   As often as possible we also enjoy taking them jogging, for walks on community trails, trips to the lake, or just a simple car ride or running along behind the quads.   Recently we also decided to give a go at herding and were very pleased to find out our Roxy had a hidden talent!  We were able to achieve her herding instinct certificate our first time out!!  I guess we'll have to add some sheep to the family!  We are also interested in obedience, and will be making our conformation show debut in 2008, once Roxy gets her figure back, or when Ripley decides it's time to outgrow her ganglyness!!!  While all of these outings are so much fun for our dogs as well as for us, it also ensures that our dogs are well socialized.   They are often meeting new people of all ages, other pets, and enjoying new experiences.   We have a young son and many friends with small children and dogs of their own, which are safe in the company of our Rotties!

As an Animal Health Technologist I may be a little biased, however, we believe our dogs should receive the same level of health care that we receive ourselves.  Also, as per the CKC and RCC code of ethics, we only breed dogs which are fully health certified.  We also believe in temperment testing our pups, and matching the puppy to the new owner and the purpose intended.

We are strong supporters of the Rottweiler Breed, and welcome any questions you may have.  We hope you enjoy our pictures and look at our links.  Being knowledgeable about this special animal is key before undertaking the responsibility of making a Rottweiler an addition to your family.
